Naples City Dock – Marina Manager

Purpose of Classification
The purpose of this classification is to provide management, administrative and supervisory functions overseeing the daily activities and operation of the Naples City Dock, and Naples Landings.. Employees in this classification oversee and enforce the rules, regulations, ordinances, safety, compliance, and business activities over assigned areas.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business or Public Administration, Parks and Recreation or closely related field;
• Eight (8) years’ previous experience and/or training in marina operations or demonstrative experience in safe boating practices; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license, class “E” and a driving record which meets or exceeds minimum City driving standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Underground Storage Tank (UST) Operator Class A/B & Class Certification or be able to obtain within first year of employment.
• Certified Marina Manager (CMM), Certified Marina Operator (CMO) and/or Certified Marina Professional (CMP); Must obtain one of these certifications in the first year of employment.
• Must possess and maintain a current First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification, or acquire this certification within the first year of employment.

The City of Naples is a Tobacco-Free Workplace. Job Description
We are currently seeking a self-motivated, organized, enthusiastic individual to provide full-time administrative support to our sales office in Naples, FL.  This position is primarily Monday through Friday; some weekends are required during occasional sales events.

Job duties include:

• Greet customers (over the phone and in person)
• Input and maintain sales listings on various websites
• Create correspondence
• Create and maintain sales spreadsheets
• Create and proofread contracts
• Assist and support sales staff
• Prepare promotional e-mails (constant contacts)
• Assist with boat show preparations
• General office duties

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; proficiency in Constant Contact and Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
• Professionalism is a must.
• Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under little supervision, multi-task, and prioritize.
• Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from multiple sources.
• Previous administrative experience preferred.
• Background in sales and marketing preferred.
• Knowledge of the boating industry is a plus.

Bartenders/First Mates/Front Desk Receptionist

The Naples Princess and Miss Naples Sailing Catamaran are now hiring. Looking for First Mates, Bartenders as well as a Front Desk Receptionist. Both boats offer daily public cruises as well as private events and weddings. We are seeking highly energetic professional staff with a positive attitude and a passion for the outdoors and the water! The cruises will feature sightseeing excursions, shelling trips and sunset cruises so potential staff must be enthusiastic about the wildlife, while excelling in customer service and hospitality. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and some holidays. Both full time and part time are available. The First Mate position requires tying/untying the boat, assisting the captain, being knowledgeable to diagnose any common engine room issues, perform regular boat maintenance and regular cleaning of the vessel. Must be situationally aware concerning passenger safety. Some heavy lifting occurs and mechanical experience is a plus. Bartending duties and customer service are also required. Must have a basic understanding of drinks and recipes. Ideal candidates must possess the ability to maintain a positive working relationship with others and be reliable with a positive attitude. Leadership skills a must.

Front Desk Receptionist: Looking for upbeat, friendly and reliable person. Position entails answering phones, greeting guests/customers, checking in reservations, handling customer questions and inquires, dealing with monetary transactions, basic office duties and opening and closing responsibilities. Candidate must be personable, reliable, work well with others and always have a smile on their face. Part time or full time position available. Must be flexible to work day, evening, weekend and some holiday hours. Requirements: Customer service experience and must be comfortable using a computer.
